0 7

WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University senior catcher Kylie Fox has been named the KCAC Softball Player of the Week, the league announced today (Mar. 4).

Fox put on a power display in leading the Falcons to a pair of victories this past weekend.

The Wichita native hit a pair of two-run homers in the Falcons' 14-2 rout of Peru State College and followed that up with a 3-of-4 effort at the plate with two RBIs and two doubles as the Falcons won 10-6 over Doane College last Friday (Mar. 1).

Fox's two homers are tied for first in the KCAC and she is second in the league in both batting average (.469) and slugging percentage (.750).

She is also first on the team in hits (15), total bases (24) and on-base-percentage (.538).

"Kylie is focused on her senior season and wants to do whatever it takes to help the team win ball games," Friends head coach Suzanne Unruh said. "Her leadership is huge and we will see more great things this season from Kylie"!

Weather permitting, Fox and the Falcons are next scheduled to play at Newman University Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 6) at 2 pm here in Wichita.
