[Dance & Cheer] Preview: Cheer and Dance Host Conference Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2019 Heart of America Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer and Dance Championships are set for Saturday, February 16 inside the Sisam Arena on the campus of Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. TOURNAMENT HOME | LIVE VIDEO

GV dance enters with the second highest score nationally and will compete in prelims around 11:40 am. GV cheer is scheduled to compete in prelims around 1:10 pm. 

Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. for all fans attending, with tickets priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students. For those unable to attend, Grand View will provide a live video stream.

The competitive dance teams will begin the competition with preliminary routines set to begin just after 11:00 a.m. Results from the dance prelims will be shared around 12:25 p.m., followed by the preliminary cheer routines.

Once the order of competition for the final rounds is set, championship routines will be performed, with final results and awards presentations scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

The Grand View cheer and dance teams will compete in the 2019 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance Southeast Qualifying Group, scheduled for Saturday, February 23 in the Collins Center on the campus of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan.
