MADISON, S.D. (Dec. 17, 2018)—The Dakota State University (S.D.) Trojan men's basketball team (3-10 overall record) plays a pair of non-conference games this week before taking Christmas break.
The Trojans travels to Kyle, S.D. Monday (tonight) as they take on Oglala Lakota (S.D.). Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. (Central Time)/5:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) at the multi-purpose gym on the campus of Oglala Lakota (490 Piya Wiconi Road).
DSU returns home on Thursday evening for the final home game of the 2018 portion of the schedule. The Trojans host former conference foe Jamestown (N.D.). The game is set for 7 p.m. at DSU Fieldhouse.
Dakota State split a pair of games last week, defeating Mount Marty (S.D.) 85-84 in an overtime thriller at Cimpl Arena on Dec. 12 in Yankton, S.D. The Trojans could not establish a winning streak after dropping a 95-60 non-conference home defeat to No. 2-ranked Morningside (Iowa) on Dec. 15.
Jamestown, who is currently in the Great Plains Athletic Conference this year, went 3-0 record for the week against members of the North Star Athletic Association conference. The Jimmies defeated Presentation (S.D.) 96-89 on Dec. 10, Dickinson State (N.D.) 86-76 on Dec. 14 and Valley City State (N.D.) 87-73 on Dec. 15.
Next Up: Dakota State plays in the two-day Doug Martin Classic at the Corn Palace next weekend. The Trojans play St. Mary (Kan.) on Dec. 29 and Peru State (Neb.) on Dec. 30 in Mitchell, S.D.
