[Wrestling] Rangel Earns Conference Wrestler of the Week

Kansas City, MO - No. 1 Grand View wrestling's Gabriel Rangel (JR/Bettendorf, IA) earned his first Conference Wrestler of the Week after an impressive showing at the Doane Open, earning the title in the 174-weight class. 

Entering the weekend unranked, Rangel showed his true talent with four pins and a major decision victory on Saturday. Rangel knocked off No. 7 nationally ranked Deandre Chery of Concordia University with pinning him at 1:31 in the finals and also won by major decision over No. 5 NJCAA national ranked Gage McBride of Barton Community College, 13-4 to bring home the talent.
