[Men's Basketball] Balanced Scoring Leads Warriors to Victory in Draemel Opener

FREMONT, Neb. – Six different Warriors scored 10 or more points to propel the Midland University men's basketball team to a win in their first of two games in the 12th Annual Draemel Classic. The Warriors (4-4 overall) pulled away from the Dakota State Trojans (2-6 overall) late in the second half after a back-and-forth contest on Saturday afternoon, winning by a final score of 91-82. It's the seventh game decided by single digits the Warriors have played this season.
Midland started the game on fire, riding a hot streak from freshman Malik Martin. Martin scored or assisted on 10 of the team's first 12 points, but Midland only held a one-point advantage after that stretch as the Trojans kept pace.
