FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Rio Grande men's bowling team posted a seventh place showing in Sunday's American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Tournament #2 at Pro Bowl West.
The RedStorm finished with 6,395 points as a team, once again cracking the Top 10 in the 17-team field.
Lawrence Tech (Mich.) captured the team title with 6,715 pins, while Indiana Tech finished second with 6,600 pins and Robert Morris (Ill.) University placed third with 6,531 pins.
Antar Howard of Madonna (Mich.) University won the individual title with 839 pins over four games for a 209.8 average.
Rio Grande's top individual performance came from sophomore Kaleb Taylor (Washington Court House, OH), who finished in 42nd place in the 179-player field after taking down 701 pins in four games for an average of 175.3.
