[Men's Basketball] Tigers nearly doubles up the Knights
Georgetown College men's basketball team opened the 2018-19 season with a big 112-64 win over Central Penn College. The No. 4 Tigers (1-0) were led by senior Troy Steward – 24 points, seven assists, six rebounds – while transfer Murshid Randle made a splash in his debut with 23 points with four three-pointers.
As a team GC hit 12 from long range and finished above 50 percent from the field Sunday afternoon.
Dominque Reid and Jacob Conway tallied double-doubles. Conway had 19 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, while Reid in his first game in Davis-Reid Alumni Gym had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
