[Women's Golf] Women's Golf closes fall season with fourth place finish at Lyon Fall Invitational
MELBOURNE, Ark. – The Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf team closed out the fall portion of its scheduled with a fourth place finish at the Lyon College Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course.
The Coyotes finished the tournament with a team score of 729 (356-373), finishing well ahead of Lindenwood-Belleville (830), but were seven shots behind Williams Baptist (722) in the team standings.
MacKenzie Fabrizius (SR/Spring Hill, Kan.) led the way for the Coyotes with a score of 170 (83-87) to finish in sixth place in the tournament. Kristen Sayyalinh (FR/Rockford, Ill.) was seventh with a score of 172 (89-83). Mikaela Johnson (JR/Salina, Kan.) was 26th with a 192 (89-103), and Chandler Birkholz (SO/Eureka, Kan.) was 27th with a 195 (95-100).
Columbia College's Mikala Jungmeyer was the tournament winner, putting together back-to-back 80s for a score of 160, winning the tournament by five shots over a pair of teammates in Michelle Clark and Lauren Hawley.
Columbia also won the team title with a score of 665 (332-333), winning by 35 shots over Blue Mountain College.
