[Men's Golf] Tigers win SSU Invite
Georgetown College men's golf team finished the fall season with a bang – winning the Shawnee State University Invitational. The Tigers clawed it out against 12 other teams and shot a two day of 587, besting the closest competition by 14 strokes.
Host SSU and Midway tied for second with 601. The only other Mid-South Conference team in the tournament was University of Pikeville, which finished seventh with 623 over two rounds.
Patrick Oakley led the charge for the Tigers. He carded a 71 on day one and was sitting in third three-strokes back. His steady weekend – averaging par for both days – earned him the medalist honors. Pikeville's Trey Isenberg tied him shooting the exact opposite each day (73, 71).
