[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Battles Brenau for 1-1 Draw

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – In a tie for fourth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference women's soccer standings are Bryan College and Brenau University. The Lions were hoping to gain the edge over the Golden Tigers on Tuesday, but instead, both sides battled through 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods en route to a 1-1 draw. The tie puts both Bryan and Brenau at an even 4-3-1 in AAC play, while the Lions moved to 5-7-1 overall and the Golden Tigers went to 5-5-2 overall. Brenau was the first to break the silence with the lone goal of the opening half, and then it was Summer Ghaffari (FR/Hixson, Tenn.) who responded with the equalizer for Bryan in the second half.
