JACKSON, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande volleyball team watched its losing streak grow to five straight matches on Saturday after losses to Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Bluefield (Va.) College in the final round of the Emileigh Cooper Memorial Classic at Jackson High School.
The RedStorm began the day by dropping a 3-1 decision to eventual tournament champ Mount Vernon Nazarene (25-12, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23) before suffering a tough 3-2 setback at the hands of Bluefield (25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 23-25, 16-14).
Rio Grande dropped to 1-6 with the losses.
