Connecticut Smoky Joe Wood Chapter fall meeting (Hamden, CT)

The Connecticut Smoky Joe Wood Chapter will hold its Fall 2018 meeting from 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. It will be held at our usual College of Liberal Arts, building #1, downstairs.
All baseball fans are welcome to attend. More details on the agenda will be posted soon. Our speakers are expected to include:
- Alan Cohen on Negro Leagues barnstormers at Forbes Field
- Steve Krevisky on Pirates hurler Wilbur Cooper
- Duke Goldman on the Negro Leagues Owners Meetings
- Bill Ryczek will present an original, retro radio broadcast of the game of the (19th) century: the 1870 Red Stockings vs. Atlantics.
There will be a book sale, and refreshments. We ask for a $5 donation to defray expenses, payable to our Treasurer, Alan Cohen.
