[Softball] Farrell Earns Fourth All-American Honor

Kansas City, Mo. – Senior pitcher Claudia Farrell (SR/Des Moines, IA) collected her fourth All-American honor following an outstanding 2018 season.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2018 Softball All-America teams, selected by the NAIA All-America committee and announced Friday. The All-America teams are comprised of First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention selections.

Farrell was tabbed the 2018 Heart of America Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year for the fourth time after throwing at 29-5 record ranked number one in the NAIA for earned run average (.890), third in wins (29) and ranked eighth opponent batting average (.174). 2018 Season Stats

Farrell ends her career as the best pitcher to step on the mound for the Vikings, pitching a career record of 104-20 and earning over 1,000 strikeouts. 

Farrell was recently earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association Region V Team honors. With teammates Lexie Biehl (SR/Maquoketa, IA), Lexi Merritt (SO/Waukee, IA), and Kaylee Watson (FR/Stockport, IA).
