[Women's Soccer] Comeback Falls Short for Lady Evangels at #23 John Brown

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Mid-America Christian University women's soccer team faced their toughest challenge to date on Saturday afternoon, heading to John Brown University for a tilt with the Golden Eagles on their homecoming weekend. The Lady Evangels knew that they needed to get solid play from the defense in addition to an opportunistic offensive effort in order to keep themselves in the match, and they were able to do that, but they did not get the result they wanted.

MACU (7-2, 2-1 SAC) was outshot 19-5 in the match, but outstanding play from Jennifer Starwalt in goal and a late goal from Alissa Tapp left them trailing John Brown (10-2, 4-0 SAC) by only one, but JBU held on for the 2-1 win.
