[Men's Cross Country] Bearcats Compete at National Catholic Invitational
Friday, September 15th the Men's Cross Country team traveled to the University of Notre Dame to compete amongst 32 other Men's teams in the National Catholic Invitational. The team was led by Kyle Robinson running just north of his 8k personal best, coming in at 28:29.8. Kyle was followed by Chase McCauley and Devin Roche. Chase is still getting back into the swing of things this season and pushed through the race with the time of 31:56.2. Freshman Devin Roche ran his first 8k of his collegiate career and finished with a time of 34:11.4.
"Kyle is running right where he needs to be at this point in the season. Chase is getting closer and looking stronger week after week, in practices and at meets. Our freshmen have a large learning curve, going from racing 5K in high school to an 8K in college. Devin ran well and will see significant time drop as he learns to race an 8K", said Head Coach Luke Stoffel.
The team will be in action again on Saturday September 30, 2017 running at the Greater Louisville Classic.
