[Women's Wrestling] Markayla Lottie Named 2021-22 Avila Female Freshman Athlete of the Year

Markayla Lottie wasn't the most experienced wrestler when she came to Kansas City. She had a few years of experience in the sport but didn't have  a fleshed out technical background. When she came to college, she picked up freestyle wrestling and learned to adopt those techniques. Despite her relative inexperience, it didn't take her long to become one of the top wrestlers in Avila's inaugural season of wrestling.
