[Women's Lacrosse] Warriors Fall in Home Opener to Wisconsin-Eau Claire

FREMONT, Neb. - Midland University's women's lacrosse team lost their home opener against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday, 19-5. The Warriors' season record falls to 1-3 overall as the Blugolds' moves to 7-0.
The Blugolds scored early and often with a 5-0 run to begin the game on the turf at Heedum Field. Nina Wartell ended the drought with a free position goal to get the home team on the scoreboard and back in the game. Caitlin Bowers followed up with her first collegiate goal with 4:00 on the first-quarter clock to make it 5-2.
