[Softball] Offense Explodes as No. 19 SXU Sweeps Day Two of Florida Trip

Kissimmee, Fla. – The No. 19 Saint Xavier University softball team (7-2, 0-0 CCAC) offense exploded for 17 runs on 18 hits in a pair of wins in Kissimmee, Fla. at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex. The Cougars defeated Lawrence Tech University (Mich.) 8-1 in game one, behind a five-RBI performance by junior infielder Morgan Haefling (Gilberts, Ill./Hampshire). SXU than took down University of South Carolina-Beaufort 10-4 in game two; with a seven-run fourth inning, highlighted by a Grand Slam by senior catcher Brittany Schultz (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central).
