KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila men's basketball put together its most impressive comeback of the season to date, battling back from a double-digit first-half deficit to tie the game in the second half, but Saint Mary (11-15, 7-13 KCAC) was able to do just enough to fend off the Eagles (9-18, 8-13) in an important 76-71 Spire win on Saturday afternoon in Mabee Fieldhouse.
