KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Avila offense set the tone early with 26 points in the first quarter and the defense took over from there: the Eagles (7-1, 5-1 KCAC) tied a season high with 21 total steals and forced Southwestern (1-10, 0-5 KCAC) into 31 turnovers in a 72-52 wire-to-wire Avila victory on Thursday evening in Mabee Fieldhouse.
