McPHERSON, Kan. – Eric Smith Jr. dominated again and the Eagles got hot from beyond the arc in the second half, cutting a 20-point deficit back down to single digits, but Avila's (2-5, 2-1 KCAC) rally came up just short, allowing McPherson (6-2, 2-1 KCAC) to hang on for the 84-76 home victory on Tuesday night.
