[Softball] Tigers Open Season in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, SC - March 8, 2020 - The Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Softball team traveled to Myrtle Beach to open up their 2020 season. The Tigers faced the Mavericks of Medaille College in their first game and later faced the Bullets of Gettysburg College. IW's defense was strong in the first game, led by Morgan Christner (SR/New London, IA)'s pitching. Christner allowed just 2 hits and racked up 12 strikeouts. IW picked up a 2-0 win against the Mavericks. The Tiger's pitching struggled in the second game, allowing 8 earned runs. IW fell to the Bullets, 4-10.
