[Women's Wrestling] No. 11 Midland Defeats No. 16 St. Mary; Hosts Lady Warrior Open

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University's women's wrestling team battled University of Saint Mary in a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference dual on Friday night on the eve of their Lady Warrior Open. The Warriors defeated the Spires 29-13 and then had four top three finishers on Saturday morning.
On Friday night Midland and St. Mary squared off inside the Wikert Event Center. After wins by default at 101 and 116 for the Warriors, the Spires earned a 10-2 decision as Lauren Lopez edged Avery Thomason at 123.
