McDERMOTT, Ohio - Levi Chapman fired a 5-over par 77 to lead the University of Rio Grande men's golf team in Monday's opening round of the Roger Merb Invitational hosted by Shawnee State University at the Elks Country Club.
Chapman, a sophomore from Pomeroy, Ohio, finished the opening round as one of three players tied for 11th place.
As a team, Rio Grande closed the day at 30-over par 318 and in fifth place among the eight competing schools.
