Poor defense from the Chicago White Sox has been costing the team all weekend, at no point moreso than this afternoon when a routine double play ball was thrown beyond second base towards the bullpens in deep foul territory in right field. Chad Pinder was able to circle the bases on the error and score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Liam Hendriks was the winning pitcher after a clean top of the ninth inning, but Brett Anderson pitched admirably out of the starter’s role in a no decision.
