[Women's Lacrosse] (8) Women's Lacrosse upsets (3) University of the Cumberlands, 16-12

In a battle of preseason NAIA Top 10 programs, the No. 8-ranked Raven Women's Lacrosse team used 12 first-half goals to jump in front of No. 3 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon at the BC Athletic Complex and then held on late en route to a 16-12 win.

Benedictine (2-0) held a 12-4 lead over Cumberlands (3-1) at the half and then was able to battle through a number of late short-handed goals by the Patriots to earn the upset.
