[Baseball] Pelayo, Gonzalez Grab SAC Baseball Honors

OKLAHOMA CITY – Luis Pelayo from Science & Arts of Oklahoma became Sooner Athletic Conference baseball player of the week, and Juan Carlos Gonzalez of Southwestern Christian picked up pitcher of the week.

Pelayo, a junior outfielder from Santa Cruz, Aruba, recorded a .615 batting average, three doubles, a triple and six RBIs, while Gonzalez, a senior left-hander from Piedra Blanca, Dominican Republic, notched a win over Missouri Valley during Feb. 11-17.
