[Baseball] Jaguars earn split in season-opening doubleheader

It was a day of the longball Friday at Riverside Stadium as the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars and Sterling College Warriors split a doubleheader on opening day for the Jaguars.

Chase Tamez (SR/Cypress, TX) highlighted a four-run sixth inning with a three-run home run in the opening game to help the Jaguars (1-1) break a three-game skid in season openers with a 6-2 victory. The Warriors (2-4) struck back with a grand slam and a three-run shot to win the nightcap 12-2.
