[Baseball] GC comes within a run of ending UC streak

Georgetown College baseball erased a 4-1 deficit for a tied game late, but University of the Cumberlands 20-plus winning streak continued. The Patriots scored an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth off Breion Barron for a 6-5 victory in game one.

UC (29-3, 7-0) dominated game two, 9-0, to improve to a 25 game winning streak. GC (16-13, 2-5) has struggled inside Mid-South Conference play, but in five losses three have been by a single run. The Tigers will look to end the Patriots streak 1 pm Monday in the finale of the three-game series.
