Mariners' Nelson Cruz wins award named after Edgar Martinez
Nelson Cruz was named the 2017 winner of the Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter of the Year Award by Major League Baseball on Thursday. It's Cruz's first time winning the award, whose namesake was a seven-time All-Star with the Mariners who now serves as the team's hitting coach.
