Here’s how the idea for building a swimming pool in a Major League Baseball ballpark came about. Three guys from Chicago were looking at a model of Phoenix’s proposed ballpark when one of them made an off-hand reference to a novelty shower that used to sit in center field in the White Sox stadium.
