[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer Takes Down Goshen in Rainy Thriller
Notre Dame, IN. Men's soccer hosted Goshen College in a windy, rainy afternoon game at Ganger Field. The matched featured the TopSoccer Day, with many area youth in attendance. Despite the weather conditions, the saints were able to defeat the Maple Leafs 4-3. With the win, men's soccer improves to 4-1 while Goshen falls to 2-2.
The match was full of energy, as both teams seemed to feed off each other's enthusiasm. Goshen was able to score two early goals before the 10-minute mark. Ilja Golubevs scored on a penalty kick at the 33-minute mark to spark the Saints going into halftime.
