Godzillas Vist the Ring - Bulletproof goes behind the scenes with Japan's

"We were recently invited by our friends Amuse, Top Secret, Phoneix's Power and Option Magazine to a very special GT-R event at Nardo in Italy.  Now that Option Magazine has had a chance to release the results, we can share our epic experience with the community!  We are honored to represent these companies that were chosen to represent the best of R35 GT-R tuning in Japan.

It was a great honor to be invited to Nardo for Option's "Nardo Attack" event. This is the second time that Option Magazine has sent cars from Japan to Nardo, Italy to try to set the record for the highest top speed for a Japanese tuner car.  Previously, Option Magazine sent the Top Secret V12 Supra to Nardo, this year they selected three GT-Rs to try to set a speed record and represent Japan at Nardo.  Bulletproof/GT-RR is extremely proud to be an international distributor for each of the companies selected.

Nardo is a very high security and very special place that is used for supercar high speed testing.  We were honored to be the only non-Japanese team member invited to the event.  We met the teams and the staff from Option Magazine at the airport and we traveled to the small town where the Nardo facility is located.  There were two days allocated to testing and doing the high speed runs.  In this case, for Phoenix's Power and Amuse the legendary Daijiro Inada, founder of option magazine, D1 Grand Prix, and Tokyo AutoSalon was the driver. In the case of Top Secret, Smokey Nagata, owner of Top Secret, drove his own car.

First, let's meet the contenders:

Phoenix's Power SPL
Featuring one of the most impressive spec lists ever seen, the Phoenix's Power car has been built with no expense spared.  The car boasts some of the most incredible parts on the market from well known names such as BBS by Dura, Alcon, Aragosta, Mine's, JUN, Trust, and more in addition to Phoenix's Power original parts and tuning program.

Top Secret
Featuring complete Top Secret areo parts and signature gold paint, this car features over 1,100hp from a custom Top Secret / Greddy engine tuning program in addition to the insane Enkei collaboration magnesium wheels.

Powerhouse Amuse
The Amuse Phantom GT-R was the first and fastest GT-R in Japan when the R35 was released. It sat untouched for years and just before Nardo it was fully refreshed. However, the refresh is what you can't see since the aero was returned to factory spec to reduce drag and eliminated unneeded downforce for the top speed run. It now boasts and Amuse-tuned HKS GT-1000 kit and special new Amuse exhaust set up.
