CRASH PAD- You need it when you need it.
So you're just running your own race, entering the corner, when someone drives in, over his head, and slides up into you.
Wheels touch and the next thing you know you're looking at the lights, floating five feet in the air!
Maybe you flip, Maybe you don't.
Then the car comes down flat on the wheels and the frame bottoms out on the track.
STUFF HAPPENS !!!
When the frame hits, the downward motion stops instantly, except...
your body keeps moving downward.
The weight of your body, head and helmet compress your spine like a pile driver.
