Intermittent Auto Braking- Abs Light

0 7
Vehicle: 2015 Subaru Forester – 68,000 miles

Issue Summary:
After multiple brake repairs, the vehicle intermittently experiences brakes slowing vehicle on their own— typically after 20–30 minutes of driving. Recently after a recent restart. When the issue occurs, the car slows down on its own, the ABS, Traction Control, and Hill Assist lights turn on, and the car is un drivable. Brake will literally cause the car unable to accelerate. After a cool down period 25-30 min, the brakes release and the car drives normally again.

Parts Replaced / Work Performed:

Driver rear caliper and rear pads

Front passenger caliper (twice – once by shop, once by owner)

Two flexible brake hoses (front passenger and driver rear)

Rear passenger wheel bearing

Brake light switch (updated Subaru part)

Full system bleed (multiple times, including with power bleeder)

Battery replaced (to rule out low voltage)

Front passenger wheel speed sensor cleaned and tested and replaced part. Was showing very weak signal now. Replace, now within spec

Current Symptoms:

Brakes gradually bind after extended driving, especially at highway speeds. Now at times after a recent restart. 1 hour. will not reverse down drive way without a good amount of throttle. Will progress till full stop, unable to accelerate and the abs, hill climb and traction lights remain on.

Problem clears temporarily after cooling down

Anyone else have similar symptoms? Where what should I start with?

Thank You.
