OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY MICRO SPRINT AND GO KART RACING CANCELLED ON JUNE 26 DUE TO SATURATED TRACK CONDITIONS

Ohsweken, ON – June 26, 2025 – Ohsweken Speedway regrets to announce the cancellation of tonight’s Micro Sprint and Go Kart Racing event due to a saturated track surface following significant rainfall overnight and this morning.

Despite the best efforts of our hardworking track crew throughout the afternoon, the Micro Sprint track and surrounding areas remained too wet to safely proceed with the racing program. Photos included with this announcement clearly show the extent of the waterlogged conditions and confirm that the track is not race-ready.

“We’ve been watching the radar and working the surface all afternoon, hoping for a window of improvement,” said Surface Manager Zeger Vanthuyl. “But the track remains too saturated to ensure a safe night of racing for our teams and kids.”

The next scheduled Micro Sprint and Go Kart racing event is set for Thursday, July 3, weather permitting.

In the meantime, Ohsweken Speedway will work closely with Micro Sprint tech officials to explore make-up dates for tonight’s cancelled program. Further updates will be shared as soon as details are confirmed.
