RFK Racing Puts All Three Cars in Top-10 at Pocono
Buescher 4th; Preece 8th; Keselowski 9th

Long Pond, PA (June 22, 2025) – Roush Fenway-Keselowski (RFK) Racing turned in another strong team performance at Pocono Raceway on Sunday, placing all three Ford Mustangs inside the top 10 for the second time in three weeks. Chris Buescher led the way with a solid fourth-place finish in the No. 17 NEXLETOL Ford, while Ryan Preece battled to eighth and Brad Keselowski recovered from early setbacks to finish ninth.

17 Chris Buescher – Recap
Returning to the site of his first-ever Cup Series win in 2016, Buescher kicked off the weekend on a high note at Pocono with an impressive front-row start in his NEXLETOL Ford—his second front-row appearance of the season. From the outset, he firmly established himself as one of the fastest cars in the field, setting the tone early for what would become another strong performance. Buescher ultimately turned in his third consecutive top-10 finish, continuing a streak of consistency for the No. 17 team.

In the opening laps, Buescher settled into a steady rhythm behind race leader Denny Hamlin, running just 0.3 seconds off the pace of the No. 11 car up until lap 15. He maintained pressure on the leader as the field gradually stretched out during a caution-free first stage. His smooth and consistent pace earned him a solid second-place finish in Stage One, collecting nine valuable stage points for his efforts.

Following the stage break, the No. 17 crew delivered a flawless pit stop—changing four tires and adding fuel—which allowed Buescher to win the race off pit road. Although he briefly got shuffled back in the running order during a pair of mid-race cautions, Buescher remained locked in. By lap 70, he had impressively gained 20 positions to rejoin the top five. His resilience paid off as he secured a fifth-place finish in Stage Two, adding another five stage points to his tally.

Buescher restarted the final segment of the race in fourth and wasted no time reclaiming second place on the restart. He momentarily gave up the lead during a cycle of green-flag pit stops on lap 122, but a caution just one lap later bunched the field back up for a final sprint to the checkered flag. With the last 30 laps running caution-free, Buescher maintained his pace and focus, making a late-race pass on Chase Elliott to secure a hard-fought fourth-place finish—yet another strong result in a season marked by determination and speed.

“I’m really proud of our guys today. We fought for all 400 miles and turned in another solid effort,” Buescher said. “I’m bummed we couldn’t put our car in victory lane, but this definitely gives us something to build on heading into Atlanta.”

60 Ryan Preece – Recap
Preece delivered one of his most consistent and determined performances of the season, guiding the No. 60 Kroger/Scott Ford to an impressive eighth-place finish. The race was a showcase of strategy, resilience, and execution by both driver and team.

Early on, things didn’t go Preece’s way. After starting mid-pack, he slipped back as far as 20th within the first 15 laps. However, smart calls from the pit box began to shift the momentum. With several competitors opting to pit before the conclusion of Stage One, Preece stayed out and capitalized on track position, working his way up to finish 11th by the end of the stage.

Ahead of Stage Two, crew chief Derrick Finley brought Preece to pit road for service, setting him up with fresh tires for the restart in 18th. Another pit stop came under caution at lap 41, costing him only one spot. However, the No. 60 Ford soon encountered handling issues—specifically, a lack of front grip that made it difficult to rotate through the corners. Combined with the challenges of dirty air, Preece found it tough to advance during the second segment, unable to mount a significant charge.

However, restarting 14th with 60 laps remaining, Preece launched forward on a strong restart, quickly breaking back into the top 10. His team’s strategy paid off when they brought him to pit road just before a caution flag on lap 124, which allowed him to cycle forward without losing track position. On the ensuing restart, Preece gained three more spots with another impressive launch. From there, he settled into eighth place, holding firm and earning his eighth top-10 finish of the season.

“That was a solid day for our No. 60 Kroger/Scott Ford team. We didn’t start off where we wanted, but we stuck with it, made good adjustments, and executed when it mattered,” Preece said. “I’m proud of the fight this team showed today—we’re building something strong.”

6 Brad Keselowski – Recap
In his 28th career start at the “Tricky Triangle,” Keselowski overcame multiple challenges to secure his third top-10 finish of the season in the No. 6 BuildSubmarines.com Ford.

He displayed strong early speed, moving into the top 10 by lap 15 and steadily picking off four more cars before the team made a strategic call to short pit Stage One on lap 27. That move paid off as Keselowski led the field to green at the start of Stage Two, controlling the race pace for 24 laps.

A caution on lap 57 brought the field together, but a miscommunication during the pit stop forced Keselowski to restart at the tail end of the lead lap. Undeterred, crew chief Jeremy Bullins called for another short pit stop on lap 92 during Stage Two, giving Keselowski fresher tires for the final run.

Starting the final stage with a tire advantage, Keselowski quickly surged through the field, climbing to 11th in short order. As others pitted under green, he stayed out and cycled to the lead with just over 30 laps remaining. Unfortunately, a late caution erased his advantage and forced him to restart 24th for the final run. He fought back with determination, gaining 15 positions over the closing laps to claim a hard-fought ninth-place finish.

“Today was definitely a rollercoaster, but we had good speed all day and led some laps,” Keselowski said. “We were able to climb back into the top 10 there at the end, and we’ll keep pushing forward as a team.”
