Should Gen 4 go Ute?
With the Chevrolet Camaro out of production and the Toyota Supra going out of production soon as well, should Supercars consider going to a top-selling market-relevant ute body style for Gen 4?
Not like the V8 SuperUtes modified production utes as those (with all due respect) are a bit rubbish, but cut-down (lowered) lightweight fibreglass/carbon-fibre Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux bodies over a similar spaceframe sports sedan race car as COTF and Gen 3.
Something like the NASCAR Truck Series, but with more defined body lines and doors that actually open:
It could be either the single-cab or dual-cab body style, probably the dual-cab style for more market relevance.
Thoughts? :)
Would it help the Supercars series regain the market relevance that some say it is lacking? Win on Sunday and sell on Monday and so on?
