Pieces Coming Together for the 2025 Peterborough Speedway Line-Up

0 6

A lot of sand still needs to pass through the hourglass before Peterborough Speedway is ready to launch its 2025 schedule. That won’t keep officials at the venue known for Making Memories for Life from planning another exciting season at the hometown oval.

With close to 60 consecutive years of Saturday night action to draw from, the promotional team has already booked the annual lid lifter for May 17th, as part of the traditional Victoria Day holiday weekend. Weekly divisions will always take their place as the Central Ontario spotlight attraction, while some of the top touring classes in the business fill-out the roster.

A handful of special events – starting with a Saturday, May 31st date for the Ontario Bandolero Series – have already been confirmed for the 2025 season. Also on the bill will be the APC Late Model and Dayco Super Stock double header Saturday, June 14th and the return of the Can Am Midgets a week later, June 21st. Saturday, August 9th will be this year’s visit for the Ontario Sportsman Series.

Track staff has spoken with reps from OSCAAR, Ontario Legend Car Series, OMRS, Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models, Outlaw Midget Series and more about events on this year’s calendar. Like always, Peterborough Speedway’s J.P. Josiasse says it is all about giving fans the best value for their motorsport’s entertainment dollar.

“It might be called the ‘off-season’, but putting together the schedule for a new year of racing keeps everyone pretty busy,” said track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “In addition to the special events, we’ll once again host extra distance feature events for our hometown Bone Stock and Mini Stock divisions.”

Since 1993, the crowning moment of Peterborough Speedway’s season has been the Autumn Colours Classic. This year’s 32nd annual edition of the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing – presented by APC Auto Parts – is scheduled for October 10th, 11th and 12th and will once again feature close to a dozen different racing divisions in competition during the 3-day Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend. Fans can look for the full 2025 schedule to be released during the Toronto Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo – March 7th through 9th – at the International Centre.
