New Initiative from Zwartkops: The Spectacle of the Top of the Hill
Race to the Summit this Saturday at Zwartkops
Zwartkops Raceway is excited to present the TOP OF THE HILL Challenge, a thrilling new event that brings motorsport enthusiasts the ultimate shootout! Headlining the competition is Franco Scribante, showcasing his awe-inspiring Nissan GTR R35—a special sprint car making its Northern debut. He will be joined by family member Aldo Scribante in his expertly developed Audi A4, promising fierce competition.
The Joubert brothers, Charl, Dawie, and Pieter, will also be in action with their powerful Ferrari-engined Lotuses. Other notable contenders include Reghard Roets and George Evans, both in their exceptional Nissan GTR R35s, and VW Motorsport’s Jonathan Mogotsi in his one-of-a-kind Polo GTi. These are just a few of the drivers who will battle it out for the title of Master of the Hill.
In the Historic Challenge, expect to see legendary cars like Ian Schofield’s March 77B, Warren Lombard’s Cobra, Paige Lindenberg’s Fairlane, Seef Fourie’s Daytona Coupe, the du Toit brothers’ Opel Astra and Cougar, Lee Thompson’s Camaro, and Rodney Green’s 1946 MG (Spider) Special—a car that served as the mascot for historic racing in South Africa, first seen at the inaugural Kyalami event in March 1974.
The TOP OF THE HILL Challenge is Zwartkops’ latest innovation, inspired by the growing debate between EV (Electric Vehicles) and ICE (Internal Combustion Engines). Which will reign supreme?
The electric challenge will feature Vic Campher (Mr. Volvo) in the brand-new Volvo EX30, taking on the rest of the field in this high-stakes competition.
