Petit Le Mans 2013, Road Atlanta, Race Gallery

Here’s a bit of a treat for you all, a throwback gallery to a decade ago, the 2013 Petit Le Mans which happened to be the very final American Le Mans Series race before the advent of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship the following season following the merger of ALMS and Grand-Am.

It was a very different looking grid back then, and a smaller one too with 34 cars starting and Rebellion Racing taking the win, Neel Jani amongst the winning trio, the Swiss star one of 14 drivers back on the grid for the 2023 race, with six teams still on the grid from a decade past too (Corvette Racing, BMW Teal RLL, Risi Competizione, Paul Miller Racing, Performance Tech and PR1 Mathiesen).

There was a notable absence from the grid too, Sean Edwards perished in a testing accident in Australia at the start of race week. Sunday will mark the tenth anniversary of his passing – Never forgotten.
