Duqueine Team Announce 2021 ELMS LMP2 Squad

Duqueine Team will return for their fourth season in European Le Mans Series with a new look driver squad for their #30 Oreca 07.

Tristan Gommendy returns for 2021 joined by René Binder and by could ELMS Champion Memo Rojas.

A former single-seater driver who moved to endurance racing in 2018, René Binder has already two seasons in ELMS as well as two participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, last season as part of the Inter Europol Competition team.

2017 & 2019 ELMS drivers champion Memo Rojas is looking to return to Championship winning form with the Duqueine team, the squad also bringing Greg Wheeler on board as Race Engineer for the 2021 season.

Max Favard – Team Manager:

“I am proud of this reliable and competitive crew that will allow us to play the front positions during the ELMS season and Le Mans.

“We now have all the cards in hand to achieve our ambitions. The year 2021 promises to be rich in emotion.

Tristan Gommendy:

“I am very happy to compete with Duqueine Team which is a very talented team. It is for me a real pride to be retained as their platinum driver which is also a great responsibility.

This new ELMS season with the 24 Hours of Le Mans is set to be very competitive, that is why i am very satisfied to share the wheel with Rene and Memo who have the needed skills to fight in the front.
Work and pleasure will be the keys of success so let’s go for it!

René Binder:

“First and formost I want to thank Gilles Duqueine, Max Favard and all our sponsors for their trust. We had different options for 2021 on the table and choosing to sign for DUQUEINE Engineering and to stay in the European Le Mans Series was definitely the right choice.

“I’m sure the LMP2 grid will be highly competitive again but at the same time I am confident that we have the right people in place to be successful. Together with Tristan and Memo I will give everything this season to have a say in the fight for top results.

Memo Rojas:

“I am so happy to announce that I’ll be driving for Duqueine in 2021 European Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24! I’ve witnessed Duqueine become one of the top teams in ELMS with very strong work ethics and potential to fight for championships.

Welcome to Greg Wheeler, our new engineer who will have to technically guide this trio of excellent drivers who are as fast and as experienced as they are reliable.
