Newey To Sub For Injured Manchester In Carlin Dallara

0 12

Harrison Newey is set to replace Jack Manchester in Carlin’s LMP2 Dallara P217 in tomorrow’s ELMS 4 Hours of Silverstone.

Manchester is unable to race with the team tomorrow after his off in the opening practice session at Stowe (caused by a brake failure) which broke three of his ribs.

The impact also damaged the team’s Dallara P217 tub beyond repair, forcing the British outfit to source a spare tub from FIA WEC team Cetilar Racing.

Carlin’s statement regarding Newey joining the team for the 4 Hours of Silverstone, to race alongside Harry Tincknell and Ben Barnicoat, reads:

“Following our earlier announcement that the injured Jack Manchester will not contest any further sessions this weekend, Harrison Newey will substitute for the Thunderhead Carlin driver in tomorrow’s race. Jack aims to return for the next round at Spa-Francorchamps.”

Everyone at DSC wishes Manchester a speedy recovery.
