Warmer race day at Texas Motor Speedway and the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500

After a cold drizzle Saturday, Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway will be warmer and drier.

Moisture trapped close to the surface Saturday caused some morning drizzle and mist at Texas Motor Speedway. Temperatures struggled to get out of the 30s and into the 40s. Not only was it cold and damp but we had to deal with strong gusty winds. Thankfully we won’t be dealing with wind or chill Sunday for the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. Clouds will linger during the day making skies mostly cloudy and there will be a slight breeze out of the SE between 10 and 20 mph. Temperatures warming getting back into the low to mid 60s. Racing odds Sunday are 100 percent.
