Local auto racing: Well-deserved honor for car owner
The award will be presented as part of the Weedsport Speedway's 26th annual Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame ceremonies, which take place Monday at the museum on the Weedsport Speedway grounds.

Awards also will be presented to the following: drivers Alan Johnson, Steve Paine and Freddy Adam will be added to the prestigious Hall of Fame; Rich Tobias, Jr., will receive the Mechanic/Engineering Award; Gaston Salvas is getting the Leonard J. Sammons, Jr.
Award for Outstanding Contributions to Auto Racing; Lenny H. Sammons will receive the Andrew S. Fusco Award for Media Excellence; and Vicki Emig will be honored as this year's Outstanding Woman in Racing.
