[Outdoor Track & Field] Four track athletes earn Daktronics academic awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
 Four members of the Central Methodist University men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams were honored by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) on Monday when they were named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Two members of the CMU men's squads, juniors Josh Hunt (Perryville, Mo.) and Michael Neeley (Kansas City, Mo.), were recognized among 316 NAIA men athletes, and two members of the Eagles women's squads, seniors Rachel Howieson-O'Neal (Sedalia, Mo.) and Allyson Ng (Kanas City, Mo.), were honored among 467 NAIA women athletes in the United States this year.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
