Twins vs. Athletics Postponed for Monday
The Twins are dealing with some COVID-related issues at the moment, and their game vs. the Athletics that was originally scheduled for Monday has been postponed. This weekend’s games vs. the Angels were also postponed after three members of their traveling party tested positive for COVID-19. Andrelton Simmons is the only player on the team that has been confirmed as positive, and he’s not with the Twins currently.
However, it does appear that the Twins will return to the field soon. MLB Network’s Jon Heyman reports that the Twins are “hoping” to play Tuesday vs. the A’s.
The Twins have gotten off to a rough start this season, winning just six of their first 14 games. That puts them in a tie with the White Sox for third place in the AL Central, and the Royals are surprising at the top of the standings. However, the Twins are still listed at -110 to win the division on FanDuel Sportsbook, while the Royals are all the way down at +2000
