Kat Devenport Named WCGA South Central Administrator of the Year
For the second time in three seasons, Arkansas’ Katherine Devenport has been named the Women’s College Gymnastics Association (WCGA) South Central Region Administrator of the Year.
In what has been another outstanding season for the Gymbacks, Kat’s work behind the scenes has matched the effort. She helped oversee Arkansas’ second full season of all meets hosted at Bud Walton Arena, which included assisting with marketing and ticketing efforts for the Gymbacks’ March 6 meet against No. 1 OU, where a program record and SEC record 15,512 fans were in attendance.
In 2026, Arkansas saw an average attendance of 7,653 and total attendance of 38,263, good for eighth and ninth in the country, respectively.
As the sport continues to grow, so does fan support on The Hill. Devenport worked to help facilitate and implement new club packages and courtside seating for gymnastics at BWA, giving Razorback Nation more options to get up close and personal with all the action.
The honor is the second in Devenport’s tenure with the Gymbacks, and the sixth in the program’s history. Bev Lewis received the award in 2004, 2006 and 2013, Chris Pohl in 2021, and Devenport previously in 2024.
