Hogs Close 18-Game Homestand with Double Midweek Series against Bears
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fourth-ranked Arkansas (14-6) closes out its season-long 18-game homestand in a double midweek series against non-conference foe Northern Colorado (3-18) on March 17-18 at Baum-Walker Stadium.
First pitch in the double midweek series opener between the Razorbacks and Bears is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, on SEC Network+ with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Troy Eklund (analyst) on the call. The finale between Arkansas and Northern Colorado, meeting on the diamond for the first time since a double midweek series during the 2008 campaign, is set for 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, on SEC Network+ with Dolan and Eklund in the broadcast booth.
Entering Tuesday night’s series opener, the Hogs are 3-1 in midweek games this season. Arkansas defeated Tarleton State on Feb. 16 at Globe Life Field in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series and split a double midweek series with Arkansas State on Feb. 24-25 before collecting its third midweek win of the season against Oral Roberts on March 3.

History Lesson
Arkansas is 7-1 overall against Northern Colorado, with all previous eight meetings being played inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium in the Dave Van Horn era (2003-pres.). The Hogs and Bears squared off in double midweek series in four consecutive seasons from 2005-08, with Arkansas’ lone loss coming during the 2006 campaign.

Dating back to 2017, Arkansas has been ranked in 130 consecutive USA Today Coaches polls, marking the longest active streak in college baseball. The Razorbacks have been ranked in the top 10 for 81 of the past 84 polls.
Brissey on the Bump
True freshman Mark Brissey makes his first career start on the mound for Arkansas in Tuesday’s double midweek series opener against Northern Colorado. The right-hander from Batesville, Ark., has made four appearances in relief this year, recording one save and nine strikeouts in six scoreless innings of work while allowing just one hit and issuing two walks.
Brissey concluded his standout prep career as the 2025 Arkansas Gatorade High School Player of the Year and 2025 Prep Baseball Arkansas Player of the Year, posting an 8-0 record with a 1.09 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 69.0 innings on the mound. He also hit .347 with 15 extra-base hits, including nine doubles, one triple and five home runs, and 36 RBI.
Home Sweet Baum-Walker
Arkansas, off to an 11-5 start this season inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium, maintains an overall record of 744-252 (.747) in the venue’s 31-year history. The Razorbacks finished the 2025 campaign with 37 overall wins at Baum-Walker Stadium, which stands as the most home wins in a season in program history.
