Hogs Set to Open NCAA Tournament Play against Bison

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas (43-13), the No. 3 national seed and top seed in the Fayetteville Regional, begins its NCAA Tournament run against NDSU (20-32) Friday afternoon inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium.

First pitch between the Hogs and No. 4 seed Bison is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, on ESPN+ with Kevin Fitzgerald (play-by-play) and Bobby Moranda (analyst) on the call. The winner of Friday afternoon’s contest will advance to play at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 31, against the winner of Friday night’s game between No. 2 seed Kansas (43-15) and No. 3 seed Creighton (41-14). Friday’s losers, meanwhile, will meet in an elimination game at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The winner of the Fayetteville Regional will play the winner of the Knoxville Regional in the best-of-three-game super regional from June 6-8 or June 7-9. No. 14 national seed and top regional seed Tennessee (43-16) hosts No. 2 seed Wake Forest (36-20), No. 3 seed Cincinnati (32-24) and No. 4 seed Miami (OH) (35-21) this weekend in Knoxville, Tenn.

Kevin Fitzgerald (play-by-play) and Bobby Moranda (analyst) have the call of the entire NCAA Fayetteville Regional on the ESPN family of networks. Arkansas’ opening game of the regional round against NDSU will be streamed on ESPN+.

Tournament Time in Fayetteville
Arkansas, participating in the NCAA Tournament for the 36th time in program history, is hosting a regional for the 12th time and seventh time in the last eight seasons. The Hogs will maintain home-field advantage through super regionals and host at Baum-Walker Stadium for the sixth time overall and fourth time since 2018 if they advance.

Arkansas boasts a 103-79 overall record in the NCAA Tournament, including a commanding 35-20 mark in tournament games played at home in Fayetteville. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Razorbacks tout a 72-48 overall record in NCAA Tournament games with a 34-18 mark in tournament games played in Fayetteville.

30 Seasons of Baum-Walker Stadium
The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17, 2025, and maintains an overall record of 728-247 (.747) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering this weekend’s NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

Entering Friday’s regional opener, Arkansas is 32-4 at home this season. Since the venue opened, the Hogs have recorded seven 30-win seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium, accomplishing the feat in 2004 (31 wins), 2018 (program-record 34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2023 (32 wins), 2024 (program-record 34 wins) and 2025 (32 wins).

The Razorbacks have won 28 or more games in each of the last eight full seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2017 (29 wins), 2018 (34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2022 (28 wins), 2023 (32 wins), 2024 (34 wins) and 2025 (32 wins).
